"El futuro es hoy" nos sumerge de lleno en la profunda realidad habanera del nuevo siglo XXI. Ese es el gran valor de la mirada poética y sincera de su autora, Sandra Gómez. De la manera más objetiva posible, aunando distintas voces, esta cinta gira en torno a la desgracia de muchos de sus protagonistas al no poder intervenir en su propio futuro. De allí su provocadortìtulo "El futuro es hoy".

El futuro es hoy immerses us in the depths of 21st century Cuban reality. This is the great achievement of the poetic and honest vision of its author, Sandra Gomez. With the greatest possible objectivity and with the aid of a variety of perspectives, this film deals with the misfortune of many of its protagonists in their inability to determine their own future. Hence the provocative title "The Future is Now".

Mit grösstmöglicher Objektivität und mit Hilfe unterschiedlicher Stellungnahmen, dreht sich dieser Film um das Unglück vieler seiner Protagonisten, die eigene Zukunft nicht bestimmen zu können. Daher der provokative Titel "Die Zukunft ist jetzt".
